Art in Public Places Advisory Board

Mission & Purpose

 

The Art in Public Places Advisory Board shall promote greater public participation in, and access to, arts and culture in the City. The board makes recommendations to the City Council while considering the quality of the artwork; the exhibition and the experience of the artist; the artist's works in public collections and previous public art purchases or commissions and other criteria and guidelines that comply with building, zoning, and fire codes. 

 

Board Composition and Terms

 

The Art in Public Places Board shall consist of five  (5) regular members, two (2) alternate members and one (1) non-voting student member.

* Initial members shall be appointed for a period of one (1) year, and one (1) alternate member shall be appointed for a period of one (1) year. Thereafter, all appointments shall be for a one (1) year period.
