Residential Solid Waste and Recycling Services

SERVICE

The City of Westlake contracts with the approved County Solid Waste Hauler for Area 2 of Palm Beach County for Solid Waste and recycling Services.  Collection Services are provided by Waste Management, Inc. (WM).

TRASH CONTAINERS AND RECYCLING BINS

One 48-gallon Trash Container and two Recycle Bins (1 blue and 1 yellow) are provided courtesy of the City of Westlake. Additional trash containers up to two (2) max or a 96-gallon container per household may be purchased from the City.

The City standard is to supply one complimentary 48 gallon trash container to be utilized for the 2x/wk service.  The City understands that some households may generate in excess of this amount on a weekly basis.  Therefore, those households have the following two options:

  1. Purchase an additional 48 gallon container from the City (therefore having two (2) - 48 gallon containers).
  2. Purchase a single 96 gallon container in lieu of two (2) 48 gallon.  Logistically, the solid waste system is set to accommodate 96 gallons of solid waste per household per pick up

Requests for additional Recycle Bins should be directed to the City at 561-530-5880 or by completing the Residential Request for Trash Containers and Recycling Bins Request form below.  Customers have the option of requesting the following size recycling bins:

  • Blue - 18 gallon or 25 gallon
  • Yellow - 18 gallon
