Westlake’s Vice Mayor Greg Langowski Appointed to Serve on National League of Cities Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental Relations Committee 
  

WESTLAKE — Greg Langowski, Vice Mayor, City of Westlake, FL, has been appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) 2024 Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental Relations Federal Advocacy Committee. Vice Mayor Langowski was elected to a one-year term and will provide strategic direction and guidance for NLC’s federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities on taxes that affect cities, towns and villages, voting and voter protections, advancing housing finance legislation, and more. The appointment was announced by NLC President Mayor David Sander of Rancho Cordova, CA.   

 

As a member of NLC’s Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental Relations Federal Advocacy Committee, Vice Mayor Langowski will play a key role in shaping NLC’s policy positions and advocate on behalf of America’s cities, towns and villages before Congress, with the administration and at home. 

 

“NLC’s federal advocacy committees play an important role in helping policymakers in Washington understand the issues and challenges facing America’s cities, towns and villages at the local level,” said NLC President Mayor David Sander of Rancho Cordova, CA. “I’m thrilled to have Vice Mayor Langowski  serve on NLC’s  Finance, Administration and Intergovernmental Relations Federal Advocacy Committee this year, and look forward to working with him to strengthen the federal-local partnership and grow our common knowledge of the issues and opportunities facing our communities.”   

 

The leadership of this year’s committee will consist of Committee Chair Blaine Griffin, Council President , City of Cleveland, OH; Vice Chair Mary Dennis, Mayor, City of Live Oak, TX;  Vice Chair Clare Kelly, Council Member, City of Evanston, IL;  Vice Chair Julie Spilsbury, Councilmember, City of Mesa, AZ
