TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR FIRST RESPONDERS, HEALTH CARE WORKERS, AND ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEES

TO APPLY FOR CHILD CARE SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE EARLY LEARNING COALITION OF PALM BEACH COUNTY

The Program Will Continue, but Deadline to Apply is Fast Approaching

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (July 24, 2020) – Time is running out for first responders, health care workers, and other essential employees with child care needs to apply for the popular child care scholarship program. The deadline to apply is Friday, July 31st, 2020. See below for the application and more details.

The Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County is offering child care scholarships for those serving on the front-line of the COVID-19 response effort.  Many of these hard-working families and single parents are having a difficult time finding child care. The Early Learning Coalition is here to help. Not only can the Coalition quickly connect parents to high-quality child care, but the Coalition currently has the ability to provide a scholarship for child care for 60-or-90 days or more depending on the eligibility for these critical employees. All first responders, health care workers, and essential employees in Palm Beach County can apply. There are no income eligibility requirements for these scholarships. While the program will continue to serve these families, it is important to know the deadline to apply for this scholarship is Friday, July 31st, 2020.

This program would not be possible without support from the Florida Department of Education, the Office of Early Learning, and the steadfast support of Dr. Lisa Williams-Taylor, and the entire Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County organization, along with a generous donation from a private foundation in Palm Beach County.

“We have helped over 2,000 children of families serving on the front-line during this pandemic. We are proud of that and want to serve more while we can,” said Warren Eldridge, CEO of the Early Learning Coalition.
