TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Florida League of Cities, the united voice for Florida’s municipal governments, announced that City of Westlake Vice Mayor Greg Langowski has been appointed to serve on both the Federal Action Strike Team (FAST) and the Advocacy Committee for the 2025–2026 program year.
Committee members were appointed by Florida League of Cities President Holly D. Smith, Vice Mayor for the City of Sanibel.
FAST is dedicated to strengthening FLC’s federal relations by engaging Florida’s congressional delegation on municipal priorities and coordinating outreach throughout the year. Members commit to building strong relationships with federal representatives and actively advocating for local interests in Washington and at home.
The Advocacy Committee mobilizes municipal officials statewide to advance the League’s Legislative Platform, respond to legislative alerts, provide municipal data, and recruit additional leaders to the League’s advocacy network.
“These appointments reflect Westlake’s growing leadership role in advocating for policies that strengthen all of Florida’s cities,” said Vice Mayor Greg Langowski. “I’m committed to working with city leaders across the state to champion home rule and ensure that every community has the tools to succeed.”
